I can't imagine "make it taste like canned tomato soup" was a decision anyone would make on purpose. I do like vinegar based coleslaws with BBQ as they serve a practical purpose of cutting the fat. Next time you are up north hit up Rib Kings on Burnet and 183. They have my favorite brisket in town and their pork ribs are most often spot on.

[...] Taking one of the napa cabbage leaves, we set to work assembling our “Tacos”. We topped our pork with a sprinkling of slaw, a bit of the remaining minced garlic, a little chopped cilantro, sesame seeds and even some fresh diced mango. Serving with a wedge of lime, this would be perfect with a side of tropical quinoa or rice. Of course, we ate ours with squash, though, because I’m trying to will it to be Autumn here in Austin. [...]

Hi, Ryan, and thanks for the comment. A friend of mine made the clown pony fish for another friend at a shared birthday party. The pony fish itself is made out of regular old Sculpey modeling clay and the display jar (as well as the Sculpey) was purchased at Hobby Lobby. Nick sculpted it, dried it, and then painted it; I believe he used acrylics. All in all, it was a pretty quick process, the hardest bits being the squiggly floating "mane" on the pony fish. It's definitely very cool.
